The boys and I moved home last night, as I’ve decided to go into our first marriage counseling session tomorrow with an open mind in order to make our family work. I’m still undecided as to whether or not I’m doing any of it for ME, rather than solely for the family, the boys, the ease of not divorcing, etc, because for as completely selfish as P has been (textbook only child), my inclination is naturally toward others (textbook oldest, in a formerly poor family, where there was not always enough to go around). Hopefully these sessions will help me look at what’s best for me, even if it’s not P now, or not P ever.
At any rate, we’ve got 50 or so of these budget-busting bad boys lying around, so I thought I’d share them with you all, who have been so supportive. It kind of hurts my head to try to put into words how grateful I am for your compassion, ladies, and since my heart is already hurting so, I’ve found myself continually putting off responding on a one-to-one basis. Please do know, though, that it’s helped - that you’ve helped - me through these last two defining weeks.
Also, I’m now regretting not going with the alternate picture we considered, where I looked exponentially more fantastic than my husband. Again, doing for others…we landed on this, more even-keeled, version…boo!
